Cursor Hackathon Stuttgart: build the next social media tool
Sachin Agrawal
Always building 5 projects, sometimes finishing them. Community builder.

The next Cursor Hackathon Stuttgart is a one-day social media hackathon on Saturday, July 25, 2026. You bring a laptop and an idea. By the evening, your team should have a working demo for a social media tool, content workflow, creator product, or wildcard build.
The format is built for people who want to ship, not sit through talks. Developers, content creators, AI builders, startup teams, and first-time hackathon participants are all welcome. You can come with a team, or find one in the morning.
What is the Cursor Hackathon Stuttgart?
The Cursor Hackathon Stuttgart is a one-day build event for people who want to create the next generation of social media tools. The focus is practical: form a team, pick a sharp problem, build a prototype, and demo it before the day ends.
The theme is social media because the category is changing fast. AI can now help with content generation, editing, distribution, community workflows, and creative production. The best projects will turn that shift into tools people can try right away.
Hackathon tracks
You can build in one of four tracks. Pick the track that gives your team the clearest demo by the end of the day.
- AI content generation: generate, remix, or personalize posts, threads, captions, carousels, and creative assets.
- Video and post-production: build AI video editing, auto-captioning, clip generation, thumbnails, or audio-to-visual pipelines.
- Creator tools and workflows: build content calendars, batch schedulers, brand-kit generators, or full workflow automation.
- Wild card: build anything social, from meme generators and social commerce to AR filters or voice-to-content tools.
Who should join
Join if you like building with other people under a deadline. The event is designed for developers, content creators, AI builders, startup founders, designers, marketers, and anyone curious enough to make a demo in one day.
Team size is one to four people. Everyone needs to register individually on Luma. If someone on your team is waiting for approval, send us a message and we will do our best to help.
What the day looks like
- 9:00 AM: Arrival, registration, and coffee.
- 9:30 AM: Kickoff, theme, rules, and team formation.
- 10:00 AM: Hacking starts.
- 4:00 PM: First judging round with quick team pitches.
- 5:15 PM: Top demos in front of judges and participants.
- 6:30 PM: Awards, closing, and time to keep talking.
Sponsors and partners
The hackathon is supported by Cursor, ElevenLabs, Firecrawl, and fal. Regional partners include CREATORS, Startup Stuttgart e.V., Infomotion, and AI Engineering Collective.
If you came to our Composer 2.5 Prompt Battle, this is the larger build-day version: more teams, more time, and a sharper demo deadline.
Before the hackathon: CREATORS Friday this Friday
This Friday, we are also hosting CREATORS Friday at the CREATORS Space from 3 PM to 7 PM. Bring your laptop, share what you are working on, ask for help, and spend a few focused hours building with the community. If you have not joined before, read our CREATORS Friday recap to get a feel for the format.
How to join
Apply through the Luma page, bring your laptop, and come ready to build. You do not need a polished idea before you arrive. A clear problem, a small team, and a working demo are enough.
